Great to meet you!

Something brought you here, and taking that first step isn't always easy. I'm a California-licensed Marriage and Family Therapist working online with adults and couples navigating trauma, anxiety, grief, relationship difficulties, and major life changes. My experience includes years in a group practice serving first responders and those who work alongside them, as well as providing mental health care in a California state prison. My approach is warm, direct, and empowering, with a focus on how past experiences shape the way we think, feel, and relate to others. I believe healing involves the whole person, and I'll work alongside you to understand what's keeping you stuck and reconnect with your own sense of worth and direction.

My approach to therapy

Therapy with me is a conversation, not an interrogation. I believe healing involves the whole person—body, mind, and spirit—and that understanding a problem is only part of changing it. Together, we'll explore how past experiences may be shaping your responses today, including patterns that once helped you cope but may no longer serve you. I draw on trauma-informed care, attachment-based work, and practical strategies, offering honest feedback while respecting your pace. Your beliefs and values guide our work, including whether faith or spirituality is part of the conversation.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is a chance to get to know each other, understand what brought you here, and talk about what you'd like to be different. You don't need to have your story organized or know exactly what you need—I'll ask questions, listen carefully, and help us find a place to begin. You can expect a space where you don't have to perform or protect anyone else's feelings. Toward the end, I'll share my thoughts about what we're working with and how I'd approach it, and if I'm not the right fit, I'll say so and help you find someone who is. My hope is that you leave feeling heard and with a clearer sense of where we might go together.
