Sonya Budnovitch

Sonya presents with an open, light-hearted personality to support the establishment of trust and to build, engage, and grow with patients. In her free time, Sonya continues to enjoy engaging in her own movement practice, working as a certified Pilates instructor, and spending time with her cat.

Sonya is a licensed professional counselor and board certified dance/movement therapist whose work is informed by a humanistic, strengths-based, person-centered approach, developmental theories, and the work of early dance/movement therapist Trudi Schoop. Her theoretical framework values communication, releasing tension, expression and relationship. She believes in the importance of meeting clients where they are physically, emotionally, and developmentally within the therapeutic relationship.
