Great to meet you!

Clients will be treated with the utmost dignity and respect. They will feel heard and I will fully engage with their concerns, good moments, and otherwise. I am a licensed professional who genuinely takes pride in serving those who are searching for answers, solutions and overall well-being. I have a Master's Degree in Social Work and a License in Clinical Social Work. I have extensive experience helping different populations such as veterans, women with issues, people dealing with trauma experiences, and those struggling with different addictions. My education and knowledge continue to grow as I enjoy my life as a wife, mother, sister, aunt and wearer of many other hats, gratefully. I look forward to walking on this journey with clients who are interested in working with me, and I provide a secure, safe, and non-judgmental environment for healing.

My approach to therapy

My approach combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and a Strengths Perspective. I begin by getting to know you—your experiences, concerns, strengths, and goals.

With CBT, we explore how thoughts, feelings, and behaviors connect and practice healthier ways to respond to challenges. Through Motivational Interviewing, I help you explore uncertainty about change and build motivation based on what matters to you. Using a Strengths Perspective, we identify your existing abilities, resources, and past successes to support your progress.

My counseling experience includes helping people navigate substance use concerns, trauma, emotional struggles, and life transitions. I explain the approaches we use during sessions so you understand their purpose and can help shape our work together. My style is warm, collaborative, and practical, with respect for your choices and pace.

What you can expect from me

Your first session will be a one-on-one intake and assessment appointment structured around a supportive conversation. We’ll begin with introductions and review confidentiality, what to expect from therapy, and any questions you have. Next, we’ll discuss what brings you to counseling, your current concerns, relevant history, and what you hope to accomplish.

You can share at your own pace and let me know if something feels difficult to discuss. You do not need to prepare a speech or have everything figured out. Before we finish, we’ll identify initial goals together and discuss a plan for future sessions. My goal is for you to leave feeling welcomed, understood, and clearer about your next steps.
