Great to meet you!

When was the last time you felt like yourself?

That question can be harder to answer than it seems. Somewhere along the way, you may have found yourself feeling disconnected from parts of yourself that once felt familiar. You move through life carrying responsibilities, emotions, and experiences that have shaped you, while trying to understand what you need and where you want to go next. Therapy can provide a space to slow down, feel understood, and explore what is happening beneath the surface with compassion and curiosity.

Finding your way back to yourself is not about becoming someone different. It is about creating space to better understand who you are, what you value, and the experiences that have influenced the way you see yourself and the world around you. Therapy does not require you to have everything figured out or revisit every difficult moment. It is a place to explore what feels important, at your own pace, while developing greater self-awareness, self-compassion, and connection with yourself.

My professional background includes three years in community mental health and two years in child welfare, where I supported individuals and families through trauma, crisis, family challenges, and significant life stressors. These experiences have deepened my understanding of the importance of feeling seen, heard, and accepted without judgment. They continue to shape my approach to therapy with compassion, curiosity, and respect for each person’s unique experiences.

My approach to therapy

Life experiences can shape the way we understand ourselves, connect with others, and navigate challenges. Therapy can be a space to explore anxiety, the impact of past experiences and trauma, relationship patterns, major life transitions, and the stress that comes with trying to balance all that life brings. Drawing from Adlerian, Rogerian, Motivational Interviewing, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approaches, I believe therapy should be a collaborative process that honors your experiences, recognizes your strengths, and supports meaningful growth.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and honest. I believe healing does not always have to feel heavy; moments of humor, connection, and humanity can be meaningful parts of the process. My goal is to create a space where you feel truly seen and understood while building insight, confidence, and a deeper connection with yourself as you move forward.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, my priority is creating a space where you feel safe, heard, and genuinely understood. I recognize that beginning therapy can feel vulnerable, so we will start by getting to know you, your experiences, and what brought you to therapy at your own pace. You are the expert on your life, and I will give you space to share what feels important while helping guide the conversation when needed.

Our first session is an opportunity to begin building trust, understand what you hope to gain from therapy, and identify areas where you would like support. My goal is for you to leave feeling seen, respected, and comfortable with the process as we begin creating a foundation for meaningful work together.
