Great to meet you!

I am Sophia Taylor-Edwards, LCSW, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master of Social Work from the University of Connecticut School of Social Work and a Bachelor of Science from Central Connecticut State University. I specialize in trauma, depression, anxiety, intimate partner violence, parenting concerns, parent-child relationships, self-esteem, self-care, financial stress, and life transitions. My goal is to provide a supportive space where clients can heal, grow, and build on their strengths.

My approach to therapy

Therapy is a collaborative process built on trust, respect, and compassion. Using a trauma-informed, strengths-based, and culturally responsive approach, sessions focus on identifying strengths, building coping skills, increasing self-awareness, and creating meaningful change.

What you can expect from me

The first session provides an opportunity to discuss concerns, explore goals, and begin developing a plan for growth and healing. Clients can expect a welcoming, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where they feel heard, valued, and respected.
