Great to meet you!
Hi, I’m Sophie! I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor (LPC-S) with nearly 10 years of experience helping children, adolescents, and adults navigate trauma, anxiety, life transitions, and other difficult or overwhelming experiences.
I earned my Master’s degree in Counseling and have specialized training in trauma-focused care, including EMDR and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). I’m also a National Adoption Competency Mental Health Professional and have extensive experience supporting children and families impacted by foster care, adoption, attachment disruptions, and complex trauma.
My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and individualized. I believe therapy should feel like a space where you can be completely human—not a place where you have to say the “right” thing. I balance evidence-based treatment with genuine connection, humor when appropriate, and practical tools you can use outside of the therapy room.
I particularly enjoy working with clients experiencing anxiety, trauma and PTSD, grief and loss, major life transitions, medical trauma, relationship challenges, and the lasting effects of difficult childhood experiences. My goal is to help you better understand yourself and your patterns, process what you’ve been through, and feel more confident navigating what comes next.
