Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Sophie Zbesko, a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) who believes therapy works best when it’s honest, collaborative, and grounded in real connection.

Sophie Zbesko earned my Master of Social Work degree from the University of Denver, and over the years, I have had the privilege of working in schools, community organizations, and private practice. Sophie Zbesko specializes in supporting adolescents, young adults, and adults as they navigate life’s challenges—including anxiety, self-esteem, relationships, family dynamics, and transitions.

My approach to therapy

Sophie Zbesko's approach is collaborative, compassionate, and practical. I believe therapy is most effective when you feel genuinely seen, understood, and safe enough to explore the parts of yourself that may have been hidden or protected for a long time. Sophie Zbesko grounds her work in warmth and curiosity, with respect for your nervous system’s natural capacity to heal when given the right conditions.

Sophie Zbesko blends insight-oriented somatic (body-based) work with brainspotting, mindfulness, attachment-based, and cognitive-behavioral approaches, tailoring each session to your unique needs. With younger clients, I incorporate creative, play-based interventions.

What you can expect from me

Sophie Zbesko understands that starting therapy can feel scary, so I focus on building trust and making you feel welcome right from the start. In our first session, we’ll get to know each other at a pace that feels right for you and start exploring the changes you hope to see in your life. My job is to support you as you discover your strength, learn practical coping skills, and build your sense of self. You don’t need to have everything figured out—we’ll work through it together.
