Hi, my name is Soyoung Kim. I will be your Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and am excited to welcome you to my practice. Let me walk with you through your mental health journey and help you navigate through life to meet your goals. I am a board certified nurse practitioner with a MSN degree from Walden University. My career as a nurse for over 14 years in psychiatry has deepened my understanding of mental health, substance abuse, and crisis intervention.
My view in providing care is to build a therapeutic relationship so you feel heard, involved, and supported throughout your mental health discovery. I provide a collaborative person centered approach to address your needs, whether this is your first time receiving care or if you are looking for continuity of previous care. Together we can meet your therapeutic goals one step at a time.
My goal during our sessions is for you to feel comfortable to share your experiences and concerns with me in a safe nonjudgmental environment. This is a collaborative agreement where I will guide and support your path to recovery rather than dictate it. I hope to share my knowledge to empower you to learn resilience and coping methods utilizing evidence-based care.
