Great to meet you!

Life can be unpredictable, throwing unexpected challenges our way—whether it's divorce, single parenthood, unemployment, or the sudden loss. These stressful events can leave us feeling overwhelmed, anxious, and unbalanced.

My name is Stacey Adams, and I personally understand the weight of these experiences and the courage it takes to seek help. Reaching out is a vital step toward restoring calm and finding balance in your mind and life.

My mission is to empower individuals to navigate and overcome trauma through therapeutic tools, including mindfulness and thought-pattern restructuring, tailored to each client's unique journey. Together, we embark on a self-empowered healing process rooted in trust, adaptability, and personal growth.

A bit about my approach to therapy

Building strong therapeutic relationships with my clients is at the heart of my practice. I have over 30 years of combined professional experience as a social worker and licensed therapist. I specialize in helping individuals navigate life's challenges such as grief, low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, adverse childhood experiences and recovery from abusive relationships.

My therapeutic approach emphasizes trust, empowerment, and adaptability, and creating a personalized therapeutic plan for each client's unique needs. This person-centered, solution focused approach fosters individual growth, resilience, promotes self-awareness and positively restructures negative thought patterns.

My sessions also incorporate mindful practices such as meditation, coping skills and grounding exercises that help the mind focus on the present. Mindful focus allows the mind to break away from destructive, unhealthy thinking patters.

Through the process of challenging and reframing negative thought patterns the mind begins to heal. Understanding the relationship between how you think and the way you feel will result in minimizing stress, depression and anxiety.

What you can expect from our first session

Take away from sessions would first and foremost the building trust and connection through attentive listening. Through this process, a picture of what individuals issues need to be address will emerge and I will work with you will to develop a mental health treatment plan with specific goals.

Sessions will include optional mindfulness exercises to practice at home, providing an opportunity to deepen self-awareness and reinforce positive therapy techniques explored during therapy. Throughout the process, your needs and feedback will guide this journey, I will closely monitor progress and adapt treatment plans as needed, ensuring that we work together toward meaningful and effective change.
