Great to meet you!

For more than 15 years, I've worked specifically with adults in the second half of life — people navigating the real, unglamorous weight of caregiving, health changes, retirement, grief, and all the identity shifts that come with major life transitions. I'm an LCSW licensed in California and I offer telehealth sessions statewide, which means you can access support from wherever you are — your couch, your car between appointments, or the quiet moment you finally have to yourself. I accept most major insurance plans including Aetna, Blue Shield of California, Cigna, Anthem, United Healthcare, and UHC Medicare Advantage, so cost is rarely a barrier to getting started.

My approach to therapy

My work is collaborative and grounded — I draw on CBT, solution-focused techniques, and person-centered approaches, but more than any specific model, I pay attention to what actually helps each person. If you're a caregiver who's been putting everyone else's needs first, we'll work on reclaiming your own. If you're grieving a loss — of a person, a role, or a version of your life — we'll move through it at a pace that respects where you are. I don't rush the process, and I won't minimize what you're carrying.

What you can expect from me

The first session is a conversation, not a performance. You don't need to have everything figured out or know exactly what to say. I'll ask about what's been happening and what brought you here, and you'll have plenty of space to ask me questions too. By the end of our first hour, we'll have a clearer sense of whether working together feels right — and many clients feel a sense of relief just from being heard without judgment. That's where we begin.
