Great to meet you!

Formerly am art teacher, I received my MS in counseling in 2017. Prior to starting my private practice, I worked in community mental health (age 7-17), inpatient (adolescents, adults, geriatric), IOP (adults), and residential treatment (adults - substance abuse). Having experienced a spiritual crisis while attending grad school that resulted in a closer relationship with God and awakened me to my calling, I made it my mission to ethically incorporate spirituality into my practice. I have since completed a certified spiritual counseling program to further enhance my practice and understanding of various areas of spirituality. As Wayne Dyer said, "there's a spiritual solution to every problem." I work with clients age 12 and up, suffering from various mood disorders, dissociative disorders, SI and self-harming behaviors, trauma, psychosis and existential/spiritual crisis, LGBTQ-related issues, and general identity issues. I also work with couples with relational challenges, including communication and attachment-based issues.

My approach to therapy

My counseling style is very laid back and casual, offering empathy, validation, normalization, and personalization, while offering psychoeducation, spiritual guidance, and general expertise as appropriate.

What you can expect from me

Initial sessions generally consist of gaining some background knowledge of client's upbringing, family dynamics, social support, history of trauma, then diving deeper into their reason for seeking therapy and therapeutic goals.
