Great to meet you!
I am a multi-cultural clinician that has experienced the world in many ways from migration to acculturation, to identifying the patterns and behaviors that were adapted in my own life for survival. Supporting individuals in understanding themselves and the layers that represent who they are without judgment or shame is very important in my work. I am proud to connect with folks that are curious about their own life journey and having support to navigate and approach life differently. I completed my undergrad and masters degree at the city university at the college of Staten Island. I have worked with survivors of domestic and intimate partner violence for over 5 years. I volunteered as a rape survivor advocate for 8 years supporting individuals at one of the most vulnerable and challenging times in their lives. I've worked with community services to support families who were unhoused and needing shelter, specifically women and children. I worked with minors from the age of 7 years old and up who have experienced complex trauma/abuse. I also have experience working with individuals that have dual diagnosis in an outpatient treatment setting. My treatment expertise are: Anxiety, Depression, Complex trauma (PTSD), Substance use, Bipolar disorder and more. My background and training allow for a holistic approach in supporting individuals to understand that they can identify safety in their body that they often abandon to function daily. Seeking safety support to help recognize the core belief that often has individuals stuck. I utilize an open- minded integrative approach in my work to help you build awareness, foster safety, and learn new coping strategies that will help reduce feelings of overwhelm, self shame, and increase self-trust.
