Great to meet you!

I’ve been a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California since 1995 and in Florida since 2001, with decades of experience supporting individuals, couples, families, and groups. In addition to my clinical work, I’ve served as a motivational trainer, consultant, and adjunct faculty member at over 20 universities, community colleges, hospitals, and medical centers.

My approach is rooted in psychoeducation — helping you better understand yourself while giving you practical tools to navigate life’s challenges. I enjoy working with people from all walks of life and have experience supporting clients through relationship issues, life transitions, personal growth, and emotional healing. I also facilitate seminars, workshops, and small groups, where I create a supportive space for learning, connection, and growth. My goal is to help you feel understood, empowered, and equipped to move forward with confidence.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is solution-focused, practical, and rooted in helping you move forward with clarity and confidence. I integrate a brief cognitive and faith-based perspective, helping you align your values and beliefs with the changes you want to make—especially when it comes to relationships and important life decisions.

In group settings, I use a Gestalt approach along with creative methods like art and the performing arts to improve communication, deepen self-awareness, and support personal growth. I also have a special interest in supporting those experiencing grief, bereavement, and pet loss, offering a compassionate space to process and heal.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a welcoming, supportive space where we begin getting to know you—your background, experiences, and what’s bringing you in. We’ll talk through your goals and any challenges you’re facing so I can better understand how to support you. My goal is for you to leave with a sense of clarity and direction. Many clients begin to feel more aware of their patterns, improve communication, and gain insight into how to overcome things like procrastination or anxiety. Together, we’ll start building a path forward that feels meaningful and manageable for you.
