I have a vast background in social work as an NYU graduate. Beginning with early intervention and ABA therapy all throughout Manhattan and growing into the Jewish Board of Child and Family Therapy learning CBT, family, group and couples therapy. Practicing for over 20 years with CBT and IFS modalities as I find them to be the most effective, compassionate and straightforward approach to getting to know the self with a kind lens. Our society wants us to be in resistance to ourselves and we get to take a look at how that impacts us together. There is nothing wrong with your feelings, it is how they were treated that was wrong.
My approach to therapy is to show up with curiosity and compassion as we get to know all the parts of you that show up in the world. I hold a judgement free space for whatever needs to be unburdened.
Clients can expect a 50 minute session on a weekly basis. We talk about what is troublesome to you and try to get to know the context. No pressure.
