Great to meet you!

I was born in the beautiful islands of the Philippines and grew up in San Francisco, California. I carry both places in my story. I follow my curiosity wherever it leads—reading about random topics and returning regularly to personal finance as a steady thread through my learning. Since June 2019, I've been vegan for ethical reasons, and my favorite moments are long, leisurely walks with my wife. Someday, I dream of living abroad, embracing a simpler, more peaceful and slower lifestyle. And finally, I like to lowercase my name for humility.

My approach to therapy

My approach is grounded in Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), science-backed, yet practical and flexible. ACT helps people make room for tough emotions instead of fighting them. It also helps clients identify what's truly important in their life so that they can commit to moving towards them independent of symptoms.

What you can expect from me

First and foremost, you can expect me to really listen—to give you my full attention without jumping in or interrupting. I want you to feel validated, understood, and truly seen.

Through that space of active listening and genuine curiosity—not just about your challenges, but about your life as a whole—a trusting relationship naturally begins to grow. As that trust deepens and you feel more comfortable, the harder, more painful things will naturally surface. And when they do, we'll meet them together with acceptance and care. We'll explore what they mean, how they connect to what matters most to you, and how they might point the way toward your deepest values and goals.

In other words: the hard things in life don't have to disappear before you can start living a rich, meaningful life. Healing and living can happen at the same time.
