Great to meet you!

I see therapy as a journey we take together—one filled with self-discovery, growth, and maybe even some laughter along the way. My role is to be your guide and support system as you build confidence, learn new skills, and reconnect with your own strength and resilience. You have the capacity not just to cope, but to thrive—and together, we’ll work toward that.

I work with children, adolescents, and adults who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral challenges, or simply seeking clarity and support through life's difficulties. Using a combination of cognitive-behavioral strategies, relationship-building, and trauma-informed care, I tailor our work to uncover the root of what you're facing and foster meaningful, lasting change.

I graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2001 with a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology. I moved to Colorado in 2002 and earned the Colorado Licensed Professional Counseling (LPC) designation in 2004. I have over 19 years of experience working with children and families in a variety of settings including day treatment centers, schools, in-home, mental health centers, and private practice. I have been in private practice in Colorado since 2009.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my family, diving into a good book, attending Broadway shows, and exploring Colorado’s stunning outdoors. I’m a firm believer in resilience and in caring for both mental and physical well-being. If you're ready to begin the journey toward a more meaningful and balanced life, I’m here to walk alongside you every step of the way. Let’s take that first step together.

My approach to therapy

Our sessions might involve creative strategies, practical tools, or simply a safe space to talk things through. No judgment, no pressure—just real conversations and real progress, at your pace. Above all, I aim to create a compassionate, safe, and supportive space—one where you feel heard, empowered, and ready to move forward with clarity and confidence.

Let’s work together to build something meaningful: a stronger sense of self, more clarity, better coping tools—and a life that feels a little lighter and a lot more you.

What you can expect from me

Our first therapy session will focus on getting to know you and understanding what brings you to therapy. You can expect to discuss your current concerns, personal history, goals for treatment, and any questions you may have about the therapy process. Our first session will give us the opportunity to build comfort and trust, and get to know each other in a warm, accepting, relaxed environment.
