Great to meet you!

I’m a licensed clinical psychologist with more than a decade of experience helping adults navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and other challenges that can affect their emotional well-being and quality of life. I earned my doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology and have specialized training in trauma treatment, including EMDR. I recognize the impact that culture, religion, family systems, and life experiences can have on our mental health and how we move through the world. My goal is to provide a supportive space where you can better understand what’s getting in your way, develop practical tools, and create meaningful change in your life.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and practical. I draw from evidence-based approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), EMDR, mindfulness, and other trauma-informed strategies, based on your individual needs and goals. We’ll explore the patterns, experiences, and challenges that may be affecting you while also focusing on practical strategies you can use outside of therapy. I take a culturally responsive and faith-friendly approach and welcome conversations about identity, culture, spirituality, and other aspects of your life that are important to you.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for me to get to know you beyond what’s written on an intake form. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, what you’ve been experiencing, and what you’d like to be different as a result of our work together. I’ll ask questions to better understand your history, current concerns, strengths, and what has or hasn’t been helpful in the past. By the end of the session, we’ll begin identifying areas to focus on and discuss how therapy can best support you moving forward.
