I work best with children, adolescents, and young adults as that is where most of my experience comes from. I am a former middle school math teacher and school counselor, therefore, I have ample experience working with adolescents and families in dealing with trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, and mending familial relationships.
I expect to assess a client's counseling goals and understand their reason for seeking therapy. I'd like to get to know my client and for them to get to know me a tad so that the client can determine if I am a good fit for their counseling needs.clients can expect to get to know me and also explore their reasons for seeking therapy. During the initial intake, I'd like to understand my client's needs and desires for the counseling process and assess their commitment to the process.
