Great to meet you!

Hi! I am a National Certified, Licensed Professional Counselor serving the state of Louisiana. I work with teens, adults, and families in exploring various issues related to life transitions, mood and anxiety disorders, trauma, and behavioral challenges. I am also EMDR trained. My goal is to empower and collaborate with you on your healing journey. I specialize in working with BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, People of Size, community activists, educators, and other frontline workers.

A bit about my approach to therapy

At Positive Headspace, I enjoy helping clients work toward personal goals utilizing an integrated cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, and systemic approaches. My role as the counselor in the therapeutic process is to work towards building a trusting relationship with clients, collaborate to establish clear goals and objectives, help the client engage in self-reflection, and implement therapeutic techniques that are essential to the client’s growth and ability to create change.

What you can expect from our first session

I believe therapy is relational and therapy sessions will look different each week. After our first session, clients are relieved to talk to someone without feeling judged. I encourage clients to bring their authentic selves to sessions. Sessions usually end with my clients feeling that their time was productive and well spent.
