Great to meet you!

My background is in clinical social work and psychology. As a 2nd generation Asian-American in Southern California, my lived and clinical experience has exposed me to highly diverse populations and communities, from the most vulnerable to the most affluent, from new adults to people twice my age and older. This has helped me see the complexity of my clients and the circumstances and world they have to work with.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I take an active approach at developing different, more helpful perspectives and habits:

  • Developing awareness and insight into mental or behavioral patterns and habits that are limiting life.
  • Strengthening the ability to notice and manage thinking and feelings more effectively and productively.
  • Rethinking discomfort, stress, pain, and friction.
  • Replacing or building new beliefs or mental and behavioral habits to build a meaningful life in accordance to personal values and needs.

What you can expect from our first session

  • Feeling heard, understood, and genuinely supported.
  • Feeling able to be open, honest, and vulnerable.
  • A sense of self-determination and freedom of choice in therapy and life.
  • Different insights, perspectives, skills, or ideas to be better understand and manage thoughts and feelings.
  • More clarity around what is truly important and necessary in life.
  • Being guided or compassionately challenged when stuck or avoiding necessary change.
