Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 30 years of experience supporting women, children, and families through trauma, crisis, major life transitions, and relationship challenges. I earned both my BSW and MSW from the University of Texas at Arlington, and much of my career has been spent serving in faith‐based communities and the child welfare system. Four years ago, I became independently licensed so I could offer more accessible and approachable mental‐health care to people who may feel uncertain or overwhelmed by traditional therapy settings. My style is warm, creative, solution‐focused, and direct, helping clients gain clarity and make meaningful, practical changes. I am committed to providing a safe, supportive space where people can heal, grow, and navigate life with confidence.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, direct, and solution‐focused, grounded in the belief that people heal best when they feel genuinely seen and supported. I work collaboratively with clients to understand what’s happening beneath the surface and to develop practical, creative strategies that help them move forward with clarity and confidence. With more than 30 years of experience in trauma, crisis work, and family systems, I bring a steady, compassionate presence to sessions while offering honest feedback and guidance. I tailor treatment to each person’s needs, drawing on strengths‐based, trauma‐informed, and relational approaches to support meaningful and sustainable change. My goal is to create a safe space where you can explore your experiences, build resilience, and navigate life’s challenges with greater ease.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a warm, steady, and straightforward conversation focused on understanding what brings you in and what you hope to change. I take time to learn about your history, current challenges, and the goals you want to work toward, while also exploring what approaches feel most comfortable and effective for you. My style is direct yet supportive, so you’ll receive honest feedback along with practical, creative strategies that begin to make things feel more manageable. I move at your pace, making sure you feel safe, respected, and heard as we start building a clear plan for your healing and growth. By the end of the first session, most people leave with a sense of direction, relief, and confidence that they are not navigating their challenges alone.
