Great to meet you!

I believe therapy should feel like both a safe space and a practical resource. My style combines warmth, collaboration, and direct guidance—I want you to feel understood, yet empowered with clear tools you can use beyond our sessions.

I work with clients ages 13 through 103 and specialize in foster care and adoption, blended families, life transitions in late adulthood, social-emotional learning, and trauma across the lifespan.

I am bilingual in Spanish and English, and I am passionate about providing services that truly meet clients where they are in their journey. I also bring a personal perspective as an adoptive parent of two neurodiverse kiddos. I am part of a blended family, which deepens my empathy for the complexities of family, identity, and transition.

My approach to therapy

I view therapy as a partnership: together we’ll clarify your goals, identify strengths, and create strategies that fit into your daily life. I pay close attention to the context of each person’s story—whether cultural, developmental, or family-based—and tailor interventions to ensure clients feel respected and supported at every step.

My approach is grounded in compassion and practicality. I am a Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) Practitioner and have received extensive training in various therapeutic models, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Motivational Interviewing.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to leave sessions feeling both heard and equipped. Many share that they walk away with a better understanding of themselves, a sense of relief in being validated, and concrete next steps to practice between sessions.

Over time, clients often develop tools to manage challenges more confidently, improve communication in relationships, and feel more grounded in their values. Above all, my goal is for you to feel supported in your journey and to know that therapy is a place where growth—both big and small—is recognized and celebrated.
