Great to meet you!

Hi! I’m Stasia Timan, LMHC, and I specialize in working with adolescents and young adults experiencing anxiety and related concerns. I have extensive experience supporting clients navigating generalized anxiety, OCD, social anxiety, life transitions, ADHD, and depression. While my primary focus is working with teens and young adults, my clinical background also includes providing therapy to children across a variety of developmental stages, allowing me to adapt my approach to each client's unique needs.

I strive to create a warm, supportive, and collaborative therapeutic environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered. I help clients better understand their thoughts and emotions, develop practical coping strategies, reduce avoidance, and build confidence in managing difficult emotions. My goal is to support clients in creating meaningful, lasting change while fostering resilience.

My approach to therapy

I utilize creativity and flexibility in my approach to find techniques that resonate with your interests, goals, and needs. Change is a difficult, but a necessary part of life as we are always growing and learning from our experiences. My approach integrates evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and developmentally appropriate interventions. These approaches help clients reframe unhelpful thought patterns, develop coping skills, and strengthen emotional regulation.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know each other, exploring your background, current challenges, and what brings you to therapy. Together, we’ll collaborate on your goals and discuss what you hope to gain from our work together. We will work at your pace, focusing on what feels most meaningful and important to you.
