Great to meet you!

Stefanie is a licensed professional counselor, who works with all ages of people, from children, ages 6+ to adults. Her work at the local CAC has allowed her to gain experience in multiple trauma-focused assessment and therapy modalities for youth and adults, including CPT, TFCBT, CFTSI, PC-CARE, and TraumaPlay. Stefanie has training in play therapy and is pursuing her Registered Play Therapist credential.

My approach to therapy

Stefanie utilizes the power of play and the expressive arts, as well as CBT skills, throughout her therapy to help guide clients through the darkness. Stefanie understands the wide impact that trauma has on the individual and the people that love them. She views all traumas, from the "Big T"s to the "Little T"s, as equally valid and important. With this understanding, she provides all her services under the trauma-focused lens of person-centered, and solution oriented.

What you can expect from me

Stefanie’s goal is to assist those who may be struggling with any kind of trauma, on their healing journey through the power of play and connection. Play is the natural and first language of children. Providing a safe environment that is filled with things of childhood, like toys and expressive arts, decreases anxieties and resistances, and increases openness to learning new skills. The mediums of sand, art, clay, toys, and other playful mediums are utilized in a virtual playroom.
