Great to meet you!

I believe everyone deserves to be heard, understood, and treated with compassion, especially when life feels overwhelming. Seeking mental health care can be a difficult first step, and my goal is to make that experience feel safe, welcoming, and free of judgment.

I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with over 19 years of nursing experience across critical care, emergency, forensic, and behavioral health. I earned my Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric Mental Health from Walden University and am currently pursuing my Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP).

My diverse clinical background has taught me that behind every diagnosis is a person with a unique story, challenges, and strengths. I provide psychiatric care to children, adolescents, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, PTSD, trauma-related conditions, mood disorders, and other mental health concerns.

At Psyche Path Psychiatry, I believe your diagnosis does not define you. You are more than your symptoms, and your voice matters. Whether you are seeking answers, exploring medication options, or looking for ongoing support, I am here to help you move toward better mental health—one step at a time.

My approach to therapy

My approach to mental health care begins with listening. I believe effective treatment starts with understanding you as a whole person—not simply identifying symptoms or assigning a diagnosis.

I provide compassionate, evidence-based, and individualized psychiatric care that combines thoughtful medication management, supportive psychotherapy, education, and practical strategies for managing everyday challenges. I take time to understand your experiences, concerns, goals, and preferences before developing a treatment plan.

I believe treatment should be a partnership. I will explain your diagnosis, discuss available treatment options, and help you understand the potential benefits and risks of medications so you can make informed decisions about your care. I also recognize that medication is not always the only answer, and treatment should reflect your individual needs.

My style is warm, approachable, collaborative, and nonjudgmental. Whether you are navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, mood changes, or a more complex psychiatric condition, my goal is to help you feel supported, empowered, and actively involved in your treatment.

Above all, I want you to leave each appointment knowing that your concerns were taken seriously, your questions were welcomed, and your care was designed with you in mind.

What you can expect from me

Your first appointment is an opportunity for us to get to know each other, understand what brings you to care, and begin developing a plan that feels right for you.

I understand that discussing your mental health can feel uncomfortable, especially if this is your first experience seeking psychiatric care. You do not need to have everything figured out or know exactly what to say. My goal is to create a welcoming, confidential, and judgment-free environment where you can share your concerns at your own pace.

During our initial session, we will discuss your current symptoms, personal and medical history, previous treatments, medications, daily challenges, and what you hope to achieve through care. I will ask thoughtful questions to better understand how your experiences may be affecting your mood, relationships, sleep, concentration, and overall well-being.

Together, we will review my clinical assessment, discuss possible diagnoses when appropriate, and explore treatment options, including medication management, therapeutic support, lifestyle strategies, or referrals when needed. I will explain my recommendations, answer your questions, and make sure you understand the next steps.

You will never be expected to have all the answers during your first visit. What matters most is that we begin with an open conversation and work together toward meaningful, lasting progress.

My hope is that you leave your first appointment feeling heard, respected, and confident that you have a partner in your mental health journey.
