Great to meet you!

Greetings! My name is Stephan (pronounced Steven) McLaughlin, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I work with individuals and couples who are navigating challenges in life, relationships, marriage, family, academics, and career. Many of my clients come in feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward. You might be dealing with stress, relationship conflict, or trying to manage everything on your own. Therapy is a place where we can slow things down, understand what’s going on, and begin working toward meaningful change.

My approach to therapy

Together, we’ll explore what’s bringing you to therapy and what you hope to gain from the process. From there, we can build practical skills to help you manage challenges such as anxiety, depression, addiction, trauma, and other life stressors. My goal is to help you better understand your patterns and develop tools that support growth across different areas of your life.

What you can expect from me

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other approaches to help increase self-awareness and improve how you care for yourself. As you begin to make progress, we can apply these skills to strengthen your relationships and how you navigate everyday challenges. My goal is to support you in building confidence, improving your well-being, and creating lasting change.
