Great to meet you!

Bienvenido/as! I'm Stephanie Arevalo, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. My specialties lie in helping teens and adults with anxiety, depression, racial stress, anger, job stress, grief, and life transitions. My supportive, person-centered approach focuses on your unique needs and healing process. I integrate mindfulness, cultural considerations, and a strengths-based framework. Using humor and a casual style, I build trust and foster open dialogue in a safe space. As the child of immigrants, I understand the complexities of balancing expectations, affirming cultural values, and navigating discrimination.

My approach to therapy

I meet you where you are, following your lead to build on your strengths as a foundation for growth. Using mindfulness, cultural awareness, and a strengths-based approach, I create a collaborative, personalized therapy experience. I incorporate cognitive strategies, humanistic and feminist principles to foster self-esteem and autonomy.

What you can expect from me

In our sessions, you can expect a relaxed, collaborative atmosphere where you can truly be yourself. I believe in building a strong rapport right from the start, and I use humor to keep things light when appropriate.

Ultimately, my goal is for you to leave our sessions feeling more empowered, with practical tools to apply in your life, and a deeper sense of self-awareness.
