Great to meet you!

Good day. You should be proud of yourself for taking this most difficult step in obtaining support and ensuring that you are on the path of growth and healing.

I am an independently licensed clinical social worker with 20 years of experience in a wide range of topics and with ages 5 and up.

My career choices have granted me experience with "at-risk" youth, probation, crisis, private practice, counseling college students, and I have also been Assistant Director of Crisis programming across 6 counties, I also have extensive experience & clinical supervision, program development and have spent many years maintaining training/building programs/training clinicians in the most cutting edge & evidence-based approaches.

I am trauma informed, person centered and am constantly acquiring new training to provide the best possible care to my clients.

My primary focus for many years has been trauma, neuropsychology related to trauma, attachment, Internal Family Systems/Parts work, couples counseling and family work.

My approach to therapy

I consider myself to be a partner with each client with whom I work, not merely a psychoanalyst who provides answers. My work is collaborative, exciting and intentional.

I find great fulfillment in supporting folks who need nervous system regulation, normalization and approaches that do not pathologize them, but instead empower them to find the strength that is already there.

At times this requires peeling back layers, identifying old attachment wounds in need of healing. I am creative and intuitive in my work and am comfortable marrying whatever approaches are most suitable to obtain the inner peace that we are all seeking.

I feel that it is an honor to be invited into one's psyche and remain cognizant of this throughout our time together. I empower my clients by ensuring that they understand exactly what we are doing in therapy as I believe that we are all truly the experts of our own experience.

I am also honest, down to earth and conduct my practice as who I am. My clients never have to guess or feel as though I am "robotic" as we move through our sessions. My work with clients tends to be exciting, inspirational, empowering and healing.

What you can expect from me

It is crucial to me that my clients always feel safe, able to provide feedback and that they are also driving their treatment.

Following sessions, my clients should feel comfortable, hopeful, clear in where they are on their journey and there is almost always growth between sessions. This does not have to be "homework," but the work done in session tends to be insight oriented and often neurological/physiological and so part of the goal is to practice in ways that precipitate changes in the brain and processing for days following session.

My goal is not to keep people in therapy for years and so we move through treatment with intention.

I also always make myself available for any need support between sessions, especially while working through trauma.
