Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Stephanie Astudillo a second generation Latina and bilingual therapist committed to creating a safe, supportive, and culturally responsive space for healing and growth. I understand how navigating multiple identities, family expectations, and life transitions can feel overwhelming, and I strive to meet each client with empathy, respect, and authenticity.

I specialize in mental health, supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, and relationship challenges. I also have a strong focus on helping clients navigate intergenerational and cultural stress, particularly within the Latino community.

My approach is collaborative and client-centered. I believe you are the expert of your own experience, and together we can explore patterns, build insight, and develop tools that feel meaningful and sustainable for you. I integrate evidence-based practices while also honoring the importance of culture, community, and personal values in the healing process.

As a bilingual clinician, I offer therapy in both English and Spanish, creating a space where clients can express themselves freely in the language that feels most natural.

My style is warm, down-to-earth, and nonjudgmental. Whether you’re starting therapy for the first time or returning to deepen your work, my goal is to ensure you feel seen, heard, and empowered every step of the way.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, client-centered, and culturally responsive. I believe that each person is the expert of their own experience, and my role is to support you in gaining insight, building coping skills, and creating meaningful change at your own pace.

I integrate evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), while also incorporating mindfulness and strengths-based techniques. I place a strong emphasis on understanding how culture, family dynamics, and life experiences shape your perspective, especially as a first-generation Latina and bilingual therapist.

In my work, I strive to create a warm, nonjudgmental space where you feel safe to explore your thoughts and emotions openly. I am especially passionate about supporting maternal mental health, helping women navigate pregnancy, postpartum, and the emotional transitions of motherhood with compassion and practical tools.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a relaxed and supportive space where we begin getting to know each other. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you to therapy, any current challenges you’re facing, and what you’re hoping to get out of our work together.

I may ask some questions about your background, including your personal history, relationships, and any important cultural or life experiences that have shaped you. This helps me better understand you as a whole person, not just your symptoms.

There’s no pressure to share everything at once we move at your pace. My goal is to make sure you feel comfortable, heard, and respected from the very beginning. By the end of the session, we’ll start to identify goals and discuss what ongoing therapy might look like moving forward.
