Great to meet you!

I’m Stephanie Barrett, a bilingual Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in Texas who works with children, teens, adults, and families ages 6–65. I specialize in helping clients manage anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, relationship challenges, stress, and life transitions using a supportive and personalized approach. My therapy style is warm, nonjudgmental, and collaborative, and I use evidence-based techniques such as CBT, trauma-informed care, and strengths-based therapy to help clients build confidence, emotional awareness, and healthy coping skills. I believe therapy should feel like a safe space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to grow at your own pace.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is supportive, collaborative, and tailored to each client’s individual needs and goals. I use evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed therapy, mindfulness, and strengths-based techniques to help clients better understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I work with children, teens, adults, couples, and families experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, stress, relationship concerns, emotional regulation difficulties, and life transitions. My goal is to create a safe, welcoming space where clients feel comfortable being themselves while learning practical skills to improve daily functioning, confidence, and overall well-being.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a welcoming, supportive, and judgment-free environment during their first session. I focus on getting to know each client, understanding their concerns, exploring their strengths, and identifying goals they would like to work toward in therapy. Together, we create a plan that feels realistic and personalized to their needs while building a safe space for open communication and trust. My goal is for clients to leave the first session feeling heard, supported, and more hopeful about their healing and personal growth journey.
