Great to meet you!

I graduated from the University of Louisville in 2008 with a Master’s in Education in Counseling and Personnel Services, with a concentration in expressive therapy. I have worked with individuals across the lifespan in psychiatric hospitals and community mental health settings, and I now work exclusively in private practice, providing therapy primarily to adults (18+). I specialize in helping individuals heal trauma wounds and reconnect with their most authentic selves.

I believe in the power of connection, presence, and inner wisdom as part of the healing journey. I am a certified Primordial Sound Meditation teacher and integrate mindfulness, meditation, and holistic approaches into my work.

On a personal note, I am an imperfect human with a past full of life lessons, doing the best I can each day. My own journey of healing has given me a deep appreciation for the transformative power of therapy and I am so grateful for my therapist. I enjoy working out, yoga, meditating, making pottery, creative journaling, spending quality time with my daughter and loved ones, spending time in nature, reading, learning, and traveling.

The healing process can be challenging but so worth it! —and the good news is, you don’t have to do it alone. I am here to walk alongside you with compassion, presence, and support as you navigate healing, growth, and create a life aligned with your values and purpose.

My approach to therapy

My therapy approach is holistic, compassionate, and grounded in the belief that every person has an innate capacity for healing and wholeness. I hold a sacred, non-judgmental space where you can feel seen, heard, and supported as you explore your inner world at your own pace.

I draw from a variety of integrative approaches—including EMDR, ego parts work, somatic awareness, creative art techniques, meditation, mindfulness practices, and sand tray therapy—to meet you wherever you are in your healing process. These tools allow us to work not only with thoughts and emotions, but with the body’s wisdom, and the deeper layers of experience that words alone may not reach.

Together, we explore the ways your past may be shaping your present patterns, emotions, and relationships. Through this process, you can begin to understand where old protections may no longer serve you, release wounds that have been carried for too long, and reconnect with the most authentic parts of yourself.

My goal is to support you in developing greater insight, harmony, and inner freedom so you can live a life that feels more aligned, empowered, and fulfilling. Throughout your journey, I am here to walk alongside you with presence, curiosity, and compassion.

What you can expect from me

From our very first session together, it is my honor to hold a sacred, compassionate, and non-judgmental space for you. We’ll begin by reviewing important therapy policies and procedures so you feel informed and supported. You are always welcome to ask questions as we go.

When you’re ready, I’ll invite you to share your story at whatever pace feels comfortable. We have time and space! You may talk about what brings you to therapy now, the goals you hope to work toward, and anything else you feel is important. I’ll ask a mix of direct and open-ended questions to better understand your experiences—from childhood through the present—so I can begin to get to know you in a meaningful and respectful way.

Together, we will explore the areas of your life where you’re seeking clarity, understanding, or change. This often includes looking at how past experiences may be influencing your current patterns, emotions, and relationships. As we talk, we may begin to identify patterns that no longer serve you as well as the strengths, values, and intentions you want to build upon as you heal and move forward.

My hope is that from this first session, you begin to feel supported. This is the beginning of a collaborative process where you don’t have to navigate anything alone. I am here to be fully present with you, to listen deeply, and to walk alongside you with compassion and without judgment as you work toward a more satisfying and fulfilling life with increased confidence and positive resources to help you face life adversities!

Therapy is hard work but so worth it! It is time to find your voice, embrace potential, empower self, and awaken your own innate healing process to promote growth and wholeness.

I look forward to the opportunity to hold sacred space for you as you bravely embark upon a new path of self discovery and healing! It is truly an honor! You are valued!
