Great to meet you!

*I do not work with clients over the age of 26*

Hi there! I'm Stephanie and have been practicing in the mental health field for over 8 years and have been a licensed counselor for over 5 years. I hold a Master's degree in both Clinical Mental Health and Addiction Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands. My undergraduate degree is in education from Butler University.

While I work with many different populations, most of my work lies within the adolescent and young adult population. I often utilize CBT and Solution-Focused therapies while working to meet you where you're at. My biggest goal is to help you move forward from whatever it is that brings you to therapy, even if that means we're working together in the short-term or long-term.

My approach to therapy

I use CBT most often as a way to meet you where you are at with your therapy. We will explore the thoughts, feelings and behaviors of your presenting problems to help you move forward. This also ties into my use of Person-Centered therapy and Solution-Focused therapeutic modalities.

Finding a solution to the ongoing stressors and struggles in your life is a key goal of treatment with me. Through the use of Solution-Focused therapy, we will work together to come up with ways to overcome various things on your plate each session. Sometimes these solutions are quicker fixes, while others take a longer duration of time.

What you can expect from me

As a client on my caseload, you can expect to walk away from sessions feeling like you have direction and know what would be helpful to move forward from your stressors and struggles. Homework may be assigned from time to time to ensure that therapeutic skills are being utilized to best help you.
