Great to meet you!

My clients can expect to be able to share their truths about their life stories without judgment. I strive to help others honor their experiences and look for the lessons they have provided, for it is in our experiences that we establish the patterns of our lives. At times along the way, certain patterns develop that no longer serve us, and they need adjusting from a stance of compassion and understanding. It is my goal to help clients do this important work, with the outcome being a life filled with increasing hope through self acceptance and appreciation and less debilitating shame and fear stemming out of regret.

My approach to therapy

I work collaboratively with my clients, not as an expert in another's life, but as a support system to help my clients see what is working and what is not. Then taking this information, we build upon the inner strengths by striving to remove defeating beliefs that lead to problematic outcomes. We instead work to accept all parts of the self by seeing that even the unlikable parts serve(d) a valuable purpose, but are just no longer viewed as helpful as they were initially thought to be.

I am informed in the Biology of Trauma, Internal Family Systems, and EFT (tapping). I utilize a multifaceted approach to better match the needs of my clients.

What you can expect from me

My clients can expect to be accepted for who they are, heard in what they express, and supported in reaching the state of wellbeing they are willing to work to achieve. I believe that clients work better towards goals that they set, because they are more motivated to do so. Therefore, I work to help my clients identify what it is that would benefit their lives, and we work towards those goals.
