Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Stephanie Donabedian, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist dedicated to providing a warm, supportive, and collaborative space where healing can begin. I earned my Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from California State University, Fresno, and have experience in community mental health, crisis intervention, clinical supervision, and therapist development.

I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, self-esteem concerns, and relationship challenges. My approach is trauma-informed and tailored to each individual's unique needs, drawing from evidence-based therapies including EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness, somatic interventions, and person-centered therapy.

I believe therapy is about more than reducing symptoms—it's about helping you reconnect with your strengths, gain insight, and build the confidence to move forward. My goal is to create a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel heard, supported, and empowered throughout your healing journey.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed. I believe therapy is most effective when you feel safe, heard, and supported. Together, we'll explore your experiences, identify patterns that may be contributing to your current challenges, and build practical tools to help you heal and move forward. I tailor each session to your unique needs, drawing from evidence-based approaches including EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness, somatic interventions, and person-centered therapy. My goal is to help you reconnect with your strengths, build resilience, and create meaningful, lasting change.

What you can expect from me

Beginning therapy can feel intimidating, and there's no pressure to have everything figured out before you arrive. During our first session, we'll get to know each other, talk about what brings you to therapy, and explore your goals at a pace that feels comfortable for you. My priority is creating a safe, compassionate, and collaborative space where you feel heard, supported, and understood. Together, we'll begin building a plan that reflects your unique needs and strengths.
