Great to meet you!

I’m Stephanie Eklind, an LCSW with experience supporting children, teens, young adults, and adults in outpatient mental health, school-based, and family-focused settings. Much of my work has centered on anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional and behavioral challenges, identity exploration, and family stress, including meaningful work with LGBTQIA+ clients. I approach therapy through a relationship-centered and affirming lens, exploring how early experiences, family dynamics, and current relationships can shape the way we understand ourselves and respond to the world. I believe growth begins when people feel safe enough to be fully seen, supported, and accepted as they are.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to each client’s age, personality, and needs. I create a supportive space where children and teens can express themselves, build emotional awareness, and practice healthier ways of coping. I also help clients recognize their strengths and approach growth with greater patience and self-acceptance. When appropriate, I involve parents and caregivers as supportive partners in the therapeutic process.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for us to begin getting to know one another in a comfortable, low-pressure environment. We’ll talk about what brings you or your teen to therapy, what has been challenging, and what you hope will improve. I’ll explain how I work, answer questions, and begin identifying goals we can work toward together. My priority is helping clients and families feel heard, understood, and comfortable taking the next step.
