Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Stephanie, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist dedicated to helping individuals navigate life's challenges with compassion, authenticity, and evidence-based care. I believe therapy should be a collaborative, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered to create meaningful change.

I earned my Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from UMass Global and have experience working with adults from diverse backgrounds in both community mental health and private practice settings. I tailor treatment to each client's unique needs, drawing from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based interventions, and solution-focused therapy.

I enjoy working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, relationship challenges, self-esteem concerns, emotional regulation difficulties, and burnout. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck in unhelpful patterns, navigating a major life change, or simply looking to better understand yourself, I'm here to support you.

My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable showing up as your authentic self. Together, we'll identify your strengths, build practical coping skills, and work toward the goals that matter most to you so you can feel more confident, connected, and fulfilled in your daily life.

My approach to therapy

My Approach to Therapy

I believe therapy is most effective when it feels collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to your unique needs. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I work alongside you to understand your experiences, identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and develop practical strategies to help you move forward.

My approach is rooted in evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and solution-focused therapy. I also recognize that each person is different, so I adapt these approaches based on your goals, strengths, and personal values.

Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, stress, or self-esteem concerns, my goal is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered. Together, we'll build insight, strengthen coping skills, and create lasting, meaningful change that extends beyond our sessions.

What you can expect from me

What to Expect in Our First Session

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and it's completely normal to feel a little nervous. My goal is to create a welcoming, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel comfortable being yourself.

During our first session, we'll spend time getting to know each other. I'll ask questions about what brings you to therapy, your current concerns, your personal history, and what you hope to gain from our work together. This also gives you the opportunity to ask questions, share what's most important to you, and determine whether I feel like the right fit.

Together, we'll begin identifying your goals and create a plan tailored to your unique needs. While the first session is primarily focused on understanding your story and building a strong foundation, you'll leave with a clearer sense of direction and the confidence that you don't have to navigate life's challenges alone.
