Great to meet you!

I earned my MA in Mental Health Counseling from The City College of New York where I also worked as a clinical researcher focusing on social processes and trust issues. I developed therapy skills treating adults at Upper West Side Therapy Group in NYC. With my clients, I find it’s important to explore trust, attachment, self-esteem, emotional regulation, identity, relationships, and trauma. I believe these aspects of yourself and others continues to shape daily experiences and well-being.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I draw upon evidence-based practices, integrating Psychodynamic, Relational, Cognitive-Behavioral and Mindfulness techniques to consider all features of one's personality, strengths and history. I welcome client feedback and tailor my approach for the individual. I encourage openness and honesty in our therapeutic relationship.

What you can expect from our first session

I hope you will feel a sense of security and safety with each session as we explore the origins of your issues and foster your unique needs for growth and self-acceptance. Therapy can be hard and takes time. It can feel like growing pains. I work to challenge people to gain insight. I look out for tendencies towards self-criticism and judgement and reframe those experiences towards building up your confidence and curiosity. I expect one will get to know themselves more deeply with therapy.
