Great to meet you!

I believe therapy should be a place where you feel genuinely heard, understood, and supported without judgment. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, grief, life transitions, and challenges with self-worth.

My background in school-based mental health, private practice, and in-patient behavioral health has shaped my compassionate, down-to-earth approach. I believe everyone deserves to feel safe, valued, and empowered to create meaningful change. Above all, I want my clients to know that their experiences do not define their worth or determine their future.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, trauma-informed, and practical. I incorporate evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and skills informed by Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to help clients understand their thoughts, regulate emotions, establish healthy boundaries, and develop effective coping strategies.

I believe therapy involves both compassion and growth. While I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental environment, I also gently challenge patterns that may be keeping clients stuck. I tailor treatment to each individual's needs, recognizing that healing is not one-size-fits-all. My goal is to help clients build confidence, recognize their strengths, and develop the tools necessary for lasting change.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is about getting to know you, understanding what brings you to therapy, and beginning to establish a sense of safety and trust. There is no pressure to share more than you feel comfortable discussing.

My first priority is ensuring emotional safety and stabilization. Together, we will explore your immediate concerns, identify existing strengths and support systems, and address any needs related to emotional regulation, coping, or personal safety. I believe establishing a foundation of stability is essential before beginning deeper therapeutic work, particularly when trauma is involved.

We will also discuss your goals for therapy and begin developing a plan that feels realistic, supportive, and tailored to your needs. My hope is that you leave your first session feeling heard, respected, and confident that we can move forward at a pace that feels right for you.
