Great to meet you!

Stephanie, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC, is a dedicated psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with an extensive clinical background spanning emergency medicine and inpatient psychiatry. Her diverse nursing experience has provided her with a strong foundation in managing complex medical and psychiatric conditions, recognizing the connection between physical and mental health, and providing compassionate, patient-centered care.

Throughout her nursing career, Stephanie has worked in fast-paced emergency settings, developing exceptional assessment, critical-thinking, and crisis-management skills. Her experience caring for patients with acute medical and behavioral health needs has strengthened her ability to remain calm under pressure, quickly identify clinical priorities, and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Her experience in inpatient psychiatry further developed her expertise in the assessment and treatment of individuals experiencing acute psychiatric illness.

My approach to therapy

As a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Stephanie brings together her extensive bedside nursing experience and advanced psychiatric training to provide holistic, evidence-based care. She has cared for patients with a wide range of mental health conditions, gaining valuable experience in psychiatric assessment, medication management, therapeutic communication, crisis intervention, and developing individualized treatment plans. She believes in treating the whole person—not simply a diagnosis—and strives to create a safe, supportive environment where patients feel heard, respected, and actively involved in their treatment.

Known for her compassionate approach, clinical judgment, and commitment to lifelong learning, Stephanie is passionate about helping individuals achieve greater mental health, stability, and quality of life. Her goal is to build trusting therapeutic relationships while providing individualized care that recognizes each patient’s unique experiences, strengths, and needs.

What you can expect from me

During your first visit with Stephanie, you can expect a welcoming, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where your concerns are heard and respected. The initial appointment is focused on getting to know you as a whole person—not just your symptoms—so that care can be tailored to your unique needs and goals.

You can also expect a collaborative conversation about your goals for treatment. She values your input and believes that effective care is built on partnership. Together, you will begin to identify priorities and discuss potential treatment options, which may include therapy recommendations, medication management, lifestyle strategies, or additional supports as needed.

Her experience in high-acuity emergency and inpatient psychiatric settings allows her to carefully assess risk, provide stabilization when needed, and ensure that you feel safe throughout the process. She is skilled in helping individuals who may be experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma-related symptoms, mood instability, or acute distress.

By the end of the first visit, you will have a clearer understanding of your treatment plan and next steps. Stephanie aims to ensure that you leave feeling supported, informed, and hopeful about your path forward. Above all, her goal is to create a trusting therapeutic relationship where you feel comfortable, understood, and actively involved in your mental health care.
