Stephanie Guanche

Hello! My name is Stephanie Guanche. I graduated from Florida State University with my Masters of Social Work. I have been working in the public school system, providing counseling to children and families, for several years. I am passionate about helping children reach their goals, helping parents gain skills to aid their children better, and providing quality care. I have experience working with children between the ages of four and fourteen. Some diagnoses and treatment areas I work with include ADHD, anxiety, DMDD/ODD, adjustment disorder, anger, and academic counseling, family counseling.

We work hard together to reach your goals. Your goals are my goals, and I will do my best to help you get where you want to be!

Every child and adult is different. We have different hobbies and interests, different music taste, different ways of learning, and different ways of working. I try to utilize strategies and approaches that meet your individual needs. Some approaches I like to try are play therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, identifying and building your strengths, and narrative therapy. I like to do frequent check ins to discuss your opinion on your growth during our time together. Based off your check-ins, I can adjust our approach to treatment.

Through the education of strategies to utilize, identification of helpful coping skills, practice, and processing, clients should gain new ways of addressing the challenging they may be facing. My hope is that, by working together, clients can gain confidence in their abilities to work through and potentially overcome the very things that bring them into counseling.
