Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 12 years of experience in the social work field. I specialize in supporting people who struggle with addiction and their loved ones. I worked at CeDAR ( Center for Dependency, Addiction and Rehabilitation) in the inpatient setting. I ran the family program in addition to working closely with the patients who struggled with addiction. I have supported many people who struggle with depression, anxiety and grief and loss.

Additionally, I enjoy supporting parents, as parenthood is one of the most important and, at times, difficult journey we go through in adulthood. I am well versed in the Parenting with Love and Logic curriculum and have shared it with hundreds of families over the years.

I believe therapy works best when clients feel genuinely seen, heard and understood. I consider it a privilege to walk alongside my clients as they navigate challenges, discover and build upon their strengths and create the life they want to live.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is compassionate, down-to-earth and collaborative. I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore life's challenges, build on your strengths and create meaningful change. Whether you're struggling with depression, anxiety, addiction, relationship concerns, parenting or life transitions, I will meet you where you are and support you with honesty, empathy and practical tools to help you move forward toward healing and living a more fulfilling life.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy can feel both hopeful and a bit intimidating. My goal is to make our first session as comfortable and welcoming as possible. We will focus on getting to know each other and discussing the concerns that brought you to therapy. I'll ask questions about your current concerns, personal history, relationships, strengths and goals so I can better understand your unique experiences and needs.

The first session is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and to determine whether I feel like a good fit for you. Together, we'll begin identifying goals for therapy and we'll develop a plan that supports your growth and healing. There is never any pressure to share everything at once-we will move at a pace that feels comfortable to you.

Most importantly, you can expect a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where you will be heard, supported and treated with respect as we begin your therapeutic journey together.
