Great to meet you!

Hello, I am Stephanie or Steph. I am a LMHC in Florida, and have been working in the mental health field since 2019. I really enjoy working with adolescents, young adults, couples, and families. Previously I have worked in long-term residential facilities, IOP/PHP, and other outpatient settings. I primarily focus on helping clients overcome complex traumas. I am also passionate about serving people of color, as I recognize the complexities of intersectional identity issues within mental health.

My approach to therapy

I am very collaborative in my approach while also tailoring it so that each client is individually honored. I primarily utilize DBT, Narrative, IFS, and CBT lenses, with an overarching Trauma-informed lens. My areas of specialty are woman of color, individuals healing from narcissistic abuse, self-exploration/esteem, trauma, and codependency issues.

What you can expect from me

My goal at the end of your session is to have you leave feeling individually honored, empowered, and emotionally supported. Early on in sessions, I make it a point to ask many questions to truly assess goals and ensure they are realistic and achievable. I hope we can identify patterns and work to end these same patterns. Most importantly I hope we can share a laugh in the midst of it all. I like to say my style is warm, compassionate, and humorous.
