Great to meet you!

If you’ve ever felt rushed through an appointment, left with a prescription you didn’t fully understand, or wondered whether anyone was looking at the whole picture, I take a different approach.

As a psychiatric nurse practitioner, I’m thoughtful and thorough, but also down-to-earth. I want you to understand what I’m thinking, feel comfortable asking questions, and have a real say in your treatment.

My clinical interests include women’s mental health, ADHD, anxiety, depression, PMDD, and reproductive mental health. As a first-generation Afro-Latina, I also value working with people navigating cultural expectations, family roles, and the pressure of being the one who holds everything together.

My approach to therapy

I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner providing psychiatric evaluation and medication management for adults experiencing concerns such as depression, anxiety, trauma-related symptoms, ADHD, and other mental health challenges.

I know that seeking psychiatric care can feel overwhelming, especially if you’ve had frustrating experiences with treatment in the past. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable being honest, asking questions, and actively participating in your care. I take the time to understand your symptoms, history, concerns, and goals so that treatment is individualized to you.

What you can expect from me

Your first appointment is a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation. We’ll talk about what brings you in, your current symptoms, medical and mental health history, previous treatment experiences, medications you’ve tried, and what you would like to get out of treatment.

You can expect a conversational, judgment-free environment where you have time to tell your story and ask questions without feeling rushed. By the end of the visit, my goal is for you to have a clearer understanding of what may be contributing to your symptoms and what our next steps may look like.

Depending on your needs, that may include medication options, additional assessment, labs, therapy recommendations, or other resources. We’ll discuss the reasoning behind recommendations together, and treatment decisions are made collaboratively.
