I believe we heal in connection with others bringing our imperfections and shame into a non-judgmental space. My goal in counseling is to create this sacred space to explore your wounds with the grace and accountability. I also incorporate humor into our sessions, believing that it can relieve our stress, give us a lighter perspective, restore our spirit, and well, it just feels good.

While my approach is client-centered, believing you are the expert in your own life, I also integrate a directive approach. I utilize evidenced based tools, such as CBT, DBT, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy to develop skills and change negative ways of thinking. I incorporate a strengths-based approach, focusing on your gifts and assets, helping you change your perspective to one of empowerment.

Together, we will identify what's not working in your life and explore how you want things to be different. By setting specific goals, we can be intentional in therapy, focusing on your desired outcomes. Small steps lead to big changes, and we will work towards those changes by looking for previous solutions and exceptions to your problems. Each session will be directive and goal-oriented, ensuring that you walk away with something valuable each time.
