Great to meet you!

At the heart of my approach is the belief that you can forge beyond what you've been through- moving past feeling stuck and reconnecting with your strengths and purpose. I'm a licensed psychologist (since 2018) with a PhD in Counseling Psychology from the University of Kansas. My work has largely been shaped by my experiences working at Veterans Affairs Medical Centers as a clinician and Military Sexual Trauma Coordinator as well as uniformed experience as the Chief of Behavioral Health in the Virginia Army National Guard. In addition to chronic stress, health, mood concerns, and trauma-informed care my other area of specialty incorporates performance psychology to help clients excel in high-pressure roles. Many of my clients include veterans, first responders, executives, athletes, creative professionals, and medical providers with diverse cultural backgrounds.

My approach to therapy

Where do you want to go and how should we get there together? My approach to therapy is collaborative, solution-focused and grounded in evidence-based treatments. My clients describe me as warm and radically genuine. You can expect sessions with me to be structured yet adaptable because well, life happens along the way sometimes!

What you can expect from me

You can expect our first session to include talking about your vision of your desired outcomes, gathering your background history, and discussing options for how we can best work together. There are no one size fits all approaches to therapy so our work together will be tailored to you!
