Great to meet you!

Welcome! I'm glad you're taking the first step towards entering therapy. A little about myself... I take a humanistic, compassionate and person centered approach, which focuses on authenticity and the importance of the therapeutic relationship. This means that I focus on getting to know you, your strengths, and interests, because it's important to establish a connection. As your treatment I want to meet you where you are, while also challenging you to explore alternative perspectives and ideas.

My approach to therapy

I specialize in treating adult concerns, relating to trauma, depression, substance use and anxiety. I have extensive experience working with issues related to impulsive behaviors, adjustment and stressors related to the impacts of daily living. I have significant passion for the areas of complex trauma, grief and anxiety.

What you can expect from me

I have experience in the areas of trauma, acculturation, immigration issues, co-occurring disorders and specific programs where I have led groups on self-compassion, mood management and substance use. I have also worked in mental health programs where I led groups focused on attachment style, love languages, trauma responses, and the affects of trauma and substance use on the brain.
