Great to meet you!

I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 27 years of experience helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges — and let’s be honest, life can get pretty complicated sometimes. I’ve worked with young adults, adults, an couples in a variety of settings, supporting clients through concerns related to anxiety, depression, stress, work–life balance, relationships, self-esteem, and substance use.

My approach to therapy

Some therapists focus on the past, but I focus on how to make improvements today and in the future. I want you to see improvements and not depend on the therapy process. My style is proactive, skill-based, creative, and solution-focused; I consider myself to be direct but supportive, encouraging without harassing, and active over passive. I use a good deal of humor in my work and encourage others to laugh at themselves. My style depends on the needs of the client as they present.

What you can expect from me

  1. Resolving specific issues or problems: You may want therapy to help you overcome specific challenges or issues that are causing distress in your life, such as anxiety, depression, relationship problems, or trauma.
  2. Developing coping strategies: Therapy can help you develop effective coping mechanisms and strategies to deal with stress, difficult emotions, or life transitions.
