I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a Master's Degree in Counseling and Psychology from Troy University. My experience spans inpatient and outpatient settings, working with adolescents, adults, and college students navigating some of life's most challenging moments.
I believe therapy should feel as unique as the person sitting across from me, so I tailor my approach to fit your specific needs. I draw heavily from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), existential frameworks, and Internal Family Systems (IFS), particularly when working with people who tend to be hard on themselves or hold themselves to high standards.
I have worked with people facing depression, anxiety, grief and loss, low self-esteem, stress, substance use, cultural identity, and conflict in relationships, work, and school. Whatever brought you here, my goal is to create a space where you feel genuinely supported.
I utilize techniques derived from a variety of approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). CBT helps us identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns that influence how we feel and behave. REBT takes it a step further by targeting the deeply held beliefs and rigid thinking styles that fuel emotional suffering, particularly the unrealistic standards and self-critical expectations we place on ourselves. IFS explores the different "parts" of who we are, helping you understand the inner voices and patterns that may be driving your emotions and behaviors, so you can develop a more compassionate and grounded relationship with yourself.
Clients can expect to feel heard and challenged to cultivate healthier ways to connect to themselves and others.
