Great to meet you!

I'm Stephanie, a Dance Movement Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas. I completed my bachelor's degree in Psychology at the University of Nebraska Omaha in 2002 and worked for many years as a research coordinator before earning my Master's in Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in Dance Movement Therapy from Lesley University in 2021.

I have worked with youth in the juvenile justice system, as an activity therapist for adults in an inpatient psychiatric hospital, as a counselor for women with drug and alcohol problems, and a counselor for adults and children experiencing homelessness.

My approach to therapy

As a Dance/Movement Therapist, I offer a somatic practice that is deeply healing, restorative, creative, and expressive to clients. I weave Dance Movement Therapy with nature and Ecotherapy practices, art-making, Gestalt Therapy, and person-centered approaches to talk therapy. I support my clients in finding new methods of self-expression to explore traumatic experiences, grief, and identify while developing healing centered practices.

What you can expect from me

Expect to be invited warmly and given space to share and explore your goals for therapy, strengths, and needs.
