Great to meet you!

Hi there! My name is Stephanie Stauffer. I am a licensed clinical social worker. For five years, I worked in community mental health and drug/alcohol treatment. Most recently, I worked with maternal mental health helping mothers build their support system in their postpartum period. My true passion is trauma treatment which can show itself in so many different ways. Whatever you are struggling with, I am here to support you, teach you and empower you to live the life you want to live.

My approach to therapy

My preference of therapeutic treatment aligns with the concepts of trauma-informed cognitive behavioral therapy. The idea behind this approach is what has happened impacts your thoughts and behaviors. My role as your therapist is to help you build awareness and coping skills to change the way you react to particular triggers in your life. There will also be a treatment plan and assessments that will be utilized both before and in the middle of treatment to show your progress.

What you can expect from me

The main goal is to create a safe space where you feel comfortable to share your reasoning for therapy. You can expect to be greeted warmly, to have honest conversation, to be kindly challenged and to heal through the therapeutic interventions I will bring to your therapy sessions.
